After years of speculation and anticipation, the iconic Britpop band, led by the Gallagher brothers, has officially announced their reunion for a major tour in 2025. This tour, aptly named the “Oasis Live 25,” marks the end of a 15-year hiatus that began when the band famously split in 2009 following a heated altercation between Noel and Liam Gallagher.
The tour will kick off in July 2025 and will feature 14 stadium shows across the UK and Ireland. The band will perform in some of the most iconic venues, starting with two nights at Cardiff’s Principality Stadium on July 4 and 5. The tour will then move to their hometown of Manchester, where they will play four nights at Heaton Park from July 11 to 20. London’s Wembley Stadium will host four shows from July 25 to August 3, followed by two nights in Edinburgh at the Scottish Gas Murrayfield Stadium on August 8 and 9. The tour will conclude with two shows at Dublin’s Croke Park on August 16 and 17.
This reunion comes as a celebration of significant milestones for the band. It coincides with the 30th anniversary of their debut album, Definitely Maybe, which catapulted them to global fame with hits like “Live Forever” and “Supersonic.” While fans have been eagerly awaiting new music, there has been no confirmation yet on whether the band will release new material to accompany the tour.
The Gallagher brothers, notorious for their public spats, seem to have set aside their differences for this much-anticipated reunion. While the exact details of their reconciliation remain under wraps, it appears the timing felt right for both Noel and Liam to bring Oasis back to the stage.
Tickets for the tour are expected to be in high demand and will go on sale on August 31, 2024. Fans are advised to act quickly to secure their spots for what promises to be one of the biggest musical events of the decade.
